1. Legal Background
This Withdrawal and Return Policy applies to products purchased in the online store operated by Woven Hills Kft. (registered seat: 2724 Újlengyel, Petőfi Sándor utca 48., company registration number: 13-09-227309, hereinafter: the “Service Provider”) available at www.rebelheart-book.com (the “Webshop”).
This Policy has been prepared in accordance with applicable Hungarian and European Union legislation, in particular:
Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses,
Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code.
This Policy applies exclusively to Consumers, meaning natural persons acting outside the scope of their trade, business, craft, or profession.
2. Consumer Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
2.1. Pursuant to Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.), the Consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason within 14 days from the date of receipt of the product.
2.2. The Consumer may exercise the right of withdrawal by:
sending an unambiguous withdrawal declaration via email, or
completing and submitting the Service Provider’s model withdrawal form.
2.3. Contact for submitting the withdrawal declaration
E-mail: hello@wovenhills.com
2.4. The withdrawal deadline is deemed to have been met if the Consumer sends the withdrawal declaration before the expiry of the 14-day period.
3. Deadline and Method for Returning the Product
3.1. After exercising the right of withdrawal, the Consumer must return the product without undue delay, but no later than 14 days from the date of submitting the withdrawal declaration, to the address/return location provided by the Service Provider via email.
3.2. Prior written communication is mandatory before any return, because:
the return address,
the designated drop-off point,
the appropriate shipping method or carrier
may differ depending on the country and the delivery service.
Contact: publishing@wovenhills.com
During the communication, the Service Provider will provide:
the precise return address (Packeta point, courier depot, warehouse, or fulfilment partner address),
recommended packaging instructions,
the steps of the return process.
3.3. The Service Provider is not obliged to accept parcels returned without prior communication or sent to an address other than the one provided.
The Service Provider assumes no liability for such parcels being lost, refused, or returned.
4. Condition of the Returned Product & Depreciation
4.1. The Rebel Heart book is a premium, collector-grade product supplied in factory-sealed transparent protective foil.
If the book is returned in its original, unopened, undamaged condition, the Consumer is entitled to a full refund (subject to the shipping rules set out in Section 7).
4.2. The Consumer may examine the product only to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and functioning.
If the product is used beyond this extent, or if the packaging and/or the book is significantly damaged, the Service Provider is entitled to deduct depreciation from the refundable amount.
4.3. The Service Provider will:
inspect all returned products,
create photographic documentation,
prepare an inspection report where necessary.
4.4. The Consumer acknowledges that:
in the case of damaged, stained, water-damaged, creased, or visibly read/used books, or
if the protective foil is significantly torn or damaged, such that the product can no longer be sold as new,
the Service Provider may determine depreciation up to the full gross purchase price and reduce the refund accordingly.
4.5. If the returned product is in such condition that it cannot be resold under any circumstances, the Service Provider may refuse to issue any refund.
In such a case, the Consumer will be notified via email and provided with the photographic documentation.
5. Products Not Eligible for Return (General Principles)
5.1. By law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to, among others:
products made to the Consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised,
sealed products which, for health protection or hygiene reasons, cannot be returned after the seal has been broken.
5.2. The Rebel Heart book is not considered a hygiene-restricted product; therefore, the Consumer generally has the right of withdrawal.
However, depreciation may be applied depending on the product’s condition (see Section 4).
6. Method and Deadline of Refund
6.1. The Service Provider will refund the purchase price within 14 days of being informed of the withdrawal, provided that:
the product has been received back, or
the Consumer has supplied clear proof that the product has been returned (e.g., tracking number).
6.2. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used by the Consumer for the original transaction (e.g., refund to the payment card, bank transfer).
6.3. No additional fees will be charged to the Consumer for processing the refund.
6.4. If depreciation is applied, the Service Provider will inform the Consumer in writing beforehand, specifying the reasons and the amount deducted.
7. Costs of Return Shipping & Original Delivery Charges
7.1. The direct cost of returning the product is borne by the Consumer.
The Service Provider does not provide prepaid return labels.
7.2. The original delivery fee may only be refunded up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method.
If the Consumer selected a more expensive express or special delivery method, the additional cost is non-refundable.
7.3. Returned products must be shipped using a trackable and insured delivery method.
The Service Provider accepts no liability for lost, damaged, or untraceable return shipments; the risk remains with the Consumer.
8. Irregular or Unauthorised Returns
8.1. A return is considered irregular especially if:
it is made without prior communication,
it is sent to an address not provided by the Service Provider,
the product clearly did not originate from the Webshop,
the withdrawal period has clearly expired and the Consumer cannot prove timely withdrawal.
8.2. In such cases, the Service Provider may:
refuse to accept the withdrawal,
decline to issue any refund,
notify the Consumer by email of the outcome of the inspection.
8.3. The Consumer may request the return of the item held by the Service Provider; however, the shipping fee must be paid in advance.
If the fee is not paid, the Service Provider will keep the product for 30 days, after which the item may be:
disposed of, or
destroyed,
without further notice.
9. Products Purchased as Gifts
9.1. If the product was purchased as a gift and shipped directly to the gift recipient, the right of withdrawal may legally be exercised only by the original contracting party, i.e., the Consumer who completed the purchase.
9.2. Refunds can only be issued to the original purchaser, using the original payment method.
The gift recipient is not entitled to receive the refund directly.
10. Prevention of Abuse
10.1. The Service Provider may exercise increased scrutiny where:
an unusually high number of returns originate from the same Consumer, or
the condition of returned items repeatedly indicates misuse of withdrawal rights (e.g., repeatedly heavily used/read books).
10.2. If abuse is suspected, the Service Provider may, in accordance with applicable laws:
reject the withdrawal, or
apply significantly increased depreciation.
